I am a 23-year-old student from Germany who thrives on challenges and in collaboration with others. I am curious, effective and detail oriented. Furthermore, I will give everything a try. If I do not know how to do something, I will not stop until I do. I find it intriguing to apply this to solving building-specific issues and finding the best possible solutions: may they be on a material or construction level, or on how to improve workflows and collaboration between project parties. I believe that years of competitive team-sports have taught me that collaboration is always key.
I chose to become a Construction Architect, because I love solving problems and I want to directly contribute to a more sustainable and individual-focused world.
In my opinion, Architectural Technology is not far from teaching: We are surrounded by a great deal of different knowledge, being other specialists from all fields in the AEC industry, and try to pick the important aspects of everything to tell our clients about. We thus break down complex processes into understandable and important packages of information. And we do not just do this to communicate with clients, but also within the industry. As an architectural technologist, I am producing work that needs to be understandable to all stakeholders in a project alike, and thus I need to pay close attention to how I show things. It is the same with pupils, every child learns differently. Teachers use different teaching methods and language to convey information, which is always linked to pre-existing knowledge.
